The 2012 Chevrolet Sonic base model sedan is the LS and it costs around $14,000, but this is no typical base model. In fact, you will get quite a few upgrades that will make it well worth your while. If you do decide, however, that you want a bit more for your money you can upgrade to the Sonic LT for $15,000 and get full power everything.
If you really want to ensure that you are getting the most car possible you can get the top of the line LTZ for $17,000. Included in the purchase price are 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, heated front seats, and leatherette vinyl upholstery.
If you decide that you would be more interested in a hatchback that is ok too. The only thing is that they are a bit more expensive. The hatchbacks have all of the same features, upgrades and options that the sedans do but they are a bit roomier-- hence the higher price tag. With the hatchback you can expect to pay between $15,000 and $17,000 which is slightly higher than their sedan counterpart.
